The State Duma in the summer of 2012 to consider the possibility to increase the period during which new cars are not subject to inspection, from three to five years. This was announced by the head of the Duma Committee on Transport Eugene Moskvichev. Owners of new cars in 5 years will be able to just show the service book, on which it will be seen that the car is regularly serviced, and that is enough. The MP is substantiated by the fact that this is the universal practice. In most countries, a new car does not pass inspection for five years.
According to the head of the Duma committee, such a proposal were made by motorists who are asked to consider this initiative for professional transport, which provides services on a fee basis. However, Eugene Moskvichev emphasized that passenger transport in this category just does not get - these vehicles must pass inspection twice a year, because we are talking about people's safety.
